Like the rest of the northern Europe this autumn has been an incredible one for Pallid Harriers, and when 2 turned up just an hour from home i couldn't resist going to take a look. I think juvenile Pallid Harrier is in my top 10 favourite birds (there are still about 30 species in that top 10!)
The same site also had plenty of Marsh Harriers, 2 Goshawk, an Osprey, lots of Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Hobby and Peregrine, plus 10+ Great Egrets.
